Seed testing is an applied science of researching seed quality testing theory and technology, using scientific advanced standardized methods to accurately analyze seed quality and judge the quality. The objective of this course is to make students understand the importance of seed testing for agricultural production and master the basic methods of seed testing, to relate theory with practice for enhancing ability of manual operation handing problem. 种子检验学是研究种子质量检测理论和技术，应用科学、先进及标准的方法对种子质量进行正确分析测定，判断其质量的优劣，评定其种用价值的一门应用科学。本课程的目的是使学生了解种子检验对农业生产的重要性以及掌握种子检验的基本方法和手段，能较好地理论联系实际，提高学生动手操作能力和分析解决问题能力。
